On August 15th, Love Andaman, together with our conservation partners, including Decathlon Phuket, Carnival Magic, Phuket FantaSea, Sugar Marina Hotel – Phuket, Krabi, and Blu Monkey Hotels, joined forces to organize an environmental activity. This included planting over 150 mangrove saplings and collecting beach litter to restore and preserve the Andaman Sea’s coastal ecosystem for sustainable longevity.

The Importance of Mangroves
Mangrove forests are crucial ecosystems as they act as a “natural barrier” protecting shorelines from waves and erosion. They provide a habitat and nursery for juvenile marine life and effectively absorb carbon dioxide. Therefore, they are considered the “green lungs” of the sea, benefiting both the environment and coastal communities.

Although planting 150 saplings may seem like a small step, it holds great value. Each tree will grow into part of a strong mangrove forest, helping to maintain the natural balance for future generations.
Collaborating for Sustainable Seas
In addition to planting mangroves, the team and partners worked together to clean up the beach, ensuring a clean, safe shoreline while restoring the beauty of this natural area. This activity also raises awareness within the community and among stakeholders that everyone can contribute to environmental preservation.

Love Andaman and our partners believe that “conservation is the heart of tourism.” The beautiful seas and abundant nature are the true foundation of quality tourism, and they are something we must all work together to protect.
A Small Step with Significant Meaning
This activity is another effort by Love Andaman and our partners to ensure that tourism progresses alongside genuine environmental conservation. We will continue organizing environmental activities to ensure Thailand’s seas remain beautiful and bountiful for generations to come.
